Chef's Kitchen

The newly renovated and renamed bistro " Chef's Kitchen " located inside Smithfield RSL is now a haven for families with kids making it easier to now dine with them, with the inclusion of a kid's corner with playground and TV area known as the " Krazy Kids Playland". Whilst the parents can sit back and enjoy their meal knowing the kids are in view, whilst in the playland.

Chef's kitchen is a great bistro offering seafood meals, steak, chicken meals, delicious crusty pizzas and meal's for the little people - kids. There is definitely something for everyone with the new revamped menu. Also delicious ice-cream , gelato, cakes and slices to tempt you afterwards, with the bar available for the added beer or glass if wine to accompany your meal.

We ordered T-bone steak which comes with a garden salad and chips for $19.90, A Nonna's special pizza with ham, bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms. capsicums, olives, chilli and cheese for $18 ( large size) and two kids meal of chips and nuggets for $6.90. The T-bone was a generous serving of meaty steak, cooked to perfection, the pizza was generous with toppings and you couldn't taste too much chiili, which was perfect as my young son loves pizza. The kids meals were served in a basket for the chips and the nuggets were generous (6 of them) to the delight of my kids.

Whilst being in Smithfield RSL the clientele is generally older senior citizens, don't let this deter you, familes, couples and even young teens frequent this bistro. We are here regularly and will continue to do so.

Would I recommend this place to others?
Already have and will do so now, they offer the Playland to help the kids burn off steam before dinner! Godsend in my honest opinion!
