Cheap As Chips Cleaning

I wish I had of looked at the reviews prior to booking these people. They came out today for a bond clean plus windows tracks and outside windows which I was told was an additional cost to the bond clean.
After arriving back at the property to see how they were going I noticed barely anything was touched, I was charged extra for oven as apparently that’s not included in a bond clean which is a complete lie but the worst part being it wasn’t even cleaned!

When I looked at all the window tracts and noticed how dirty they still were I questioned them and there response was “ that’s not included” I specifically asked for it over the phone which was included with the additional outside windows.

The property was in pretty good condition but they left it looking more dirty than it was before they started. I had to ask them to fix several things which they tried to argue about and in the end didn’t even do it.

The man that came out told me he was the owner of the company, which at first I thought would give me peace of mind - it did not.

I was told there was a mark on the laundry floor they couldn’t get up and was told it might be gum. IT WAS LAUNDRY DETERGENT!! The entire reason I hired a third party for a bond clean was because I’ve injured myself during the move and wasn’t able to do it.

In the end I had to get down and scrub floors/ walls and literally every cupboard inside. They lie straight through the teeth and will overcharge you every time.

I used to be a professional cleaner and run a family business so I know what a bind clean should be and this right here will only make things worse for you and your family.

I gave them the measurements of the house plus the exact number of windows and size of them. I was quoted 350 for bond clean & 200 for outside windows and tracts. When he arrived he told me the oven was now additional and it will be 700 all together.

At the end of the day due to me being injured and taking care of my disabled mum I just wanted peace of mind getting it professionally done.. yet it’s left me not only broke but with too much stress to bare.

They advertise a bond back guarantee yet I have no idea how they think they can.. absolutely appalled by the work they did.

After asking the owner to fix several things I walk to the back of the house to check windows and next minute he is in his car driving away!!

Please do yourself the biggest favour and NEVER hire these scammers.

This company seemed promising at the start (I wish I had read reviews in advance!) but Prakash and the team left smudge marks/smears all over the walls (I later found out that they used jif to clean the plaster??) the floors were left splotchy, there were entire areas not cleaned at all, and they damaged my stove top. I contacted them via Facebook, phone and email and they were completely unhelpful and minimised the situation. They refused to give me a refund and have not agreed to replace the stove knobs they damaged. I’m so furious as it was very expensive for them to do such a half-assed job. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Received a quote over the phone for an end of lease clean. I advised them of the number of rooms and their sizes and was quoted $400. They asked when I had to hand the keys back and I said Monday. They said they normally do the clean the day before but suggested that seeing as the keys go back on the Monday, a Friday clean was recommended as they have limited staff available on weekends. I booked it in for Friday morning.

The guy showed up and did a walk through and said that there would be additional costs due to having to clean walls down and inside cupboards (something they said was included when I booked), and the price was now going to be $1200. I said that was ridiculous. It couldn’t possibly be triple the quoted amount and I refused to pay that much. He rang the office and put the woman there on speaker phone. She said I was told when I booked there could be additional charges if the house was bigger or in a worse state than expected. I again said I am not prepared to pay that much and canceled the job. (The house was in a pretty good state as we had only been there 12 months and cleaned regularly)

After speaking with other people who’ve used them before I was told that this is their usual practice. They book you as close to the date you hand the keys back to reduce your options, then grossly under quote to get the booking and then fleece you on the day.

Luckily I still had 3 days to clean the house and got some help from family to get it done. These guys should be deregistered for their scamming ways. If I could give negative stars I would.

It is with no suprise that when I look at the reviews over all social media most say that they were underquoted and price doubled when on site. Firstly, I would change your business name as the prices in comparison are no where ‘Cheap as chips’.

We were initially quoted $350.00 (in addition $66.00 per 29sqm carpet steam clean) for a full exit clean + bond back guaranteed.
We did receive other quotes but having moved multiple times before this seems within the accurate price range for a full exit clean. Obviously the amount was just to get people across the line and book as what we have experienced since could not have been any different.

Upon arrival at our home, he walked in, made a comment on the price of the appt and how it is expensive and then proceeded to walk around the apartment and add on additional charges without merit and that we were initially quoted within the full clean, doubling the price. When my partner questioned him he didn’t really seem to have a reason except I charge people extra for these services, again this being the showers, floors and walls which were apart of the pricing. He asked my partner what he did for a job and when my partner advised he made a comment about then why is he complaining about the amount….

My partner, in a rush to get back to work, and frustrated as we have to hand our keys in the next day phoned me to speak to the cleaner.When questioned he advised that our apartment wasn’t even that bad and that he didn’t even need to wash the shower doors as they were clean but wanted to charge us extra for a little grout clean which I questioned was already apart of the service.

He kept telling me the apartment was in pretty good condition but these were the charges which made no sense to the jump in price. Really not providing any solid feedback or reasoning behind the jump in price.

My partner in a rush and cornered as we had no other option paid the price.

When I rang the customer service to complain I was dealt with one of the worst customer service experiences of my life! They spoke over you, speaking very unprofessionally, almost yelling and relayed incorrect information . He proceeded to initially ask who the cleaner was as he hasn’t received feedback then in the same breath when I told him that the cleaner had mentioned it wasn’t in bad condition he decided to say that the cleaner had told him otherwise… but couldn’t even tell me who my cleaner was to begin with. When I asked to speak above him as he had no understanding, empathy or basic customer service skills, I was yelled at and then hung up on! They have no interest in helping you or being fair and reasonable

The way Peter acted I believe he wasn’t even in a management position as it was highly unprofessional and zero customer service expertise but the lady I spoke to initially couldn’t answer my queries so handed it on. She even asked me if it was two or three storey because when I gave her the price she didn’t understand the jump and when I told her it was single she was like wow that is a gif price increase.

Lastly, when my partner left the apartment he was forced to sign that it was in good condition as this is where the cleaner pointed although job not having been started yet!

They have zero regard for u as the consumer and only want the cash from the customer. There is zero regard for the truth and bottom line is this company are scam artists! They lie to get you over the line, knowing most people don’t have the time to rearrange or rebook cleaners, giving you no option and then pointing you to sign it is in good condition and when questioned the service team have zero regard for you! DO NOT USE and if you do expect to pay at least double of what is quoted! Good luck.

I don't know how these scumbags are still in business. I wish I could give no stars.
I've used them a few times and the 'quote' is always more when they arrive but this time it DOUBLED from $450 to $900.
After reading all the bad reviews I can see this is a common theme every time.
I called twice to query it and was told they'll call me right back but both times never called. The last time I called the girl I spoke to, who I was told was the manager, said she'll call the cleaner and see what money we can get back but never called me back.

Today I called and spoke to the owner, who is the most unpleasant man I have ever had to deal with. So rude and full of excuses saying I must have spoken to a new girl who didn't know what she was talking about.
PLEASE don't use these crooks, go with someone better because they will 100% be cheaper than 'cheap as chips' after they jack up the price on arrival.
