I find the crowd here largely pretentious so it's not my favourite bar in Sydney, but it has beautiful water views, has lots of seating and two levels. Standard Sydney drink prices and the food is a little pricey.
$10 steak which was surprisingly decent, had that on one of the specials night
as a club i found it quite annoying having to wait in line to get up the stairs to be honest
great place to have drinks at night and most of my friends do that. I also love all the sandwiches that they do especially the steak sandwich. The location is great right on darling harbour, very nice after a long day at work
I stopped in here for lunch after looking through the Sydney Aquarium and I found it to be great value! They had a deal where you could get a $10 steak Monday-Wednesday so we bought that and it was delicious! Such a great meal for only $10! It's at a great location too overlooking the harbour! The staff were helpful and friendly and the atmosphere of the place was great! I'll definitely be coming back here for lunch next time I'm in the area. I was very impressed!
Food as expected and price but service a little slow though it was busy so lattitude for that. Parma and steak sandwich were tasty but staff could smile more.
Great place to go for work lunches and after-work drinks, I really enjoy coming here. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. It is popular, so try and make a booking if you go for lunch. Great atmosphere next to the wharf.
Went to lunch today at Cargo bar it was busy so knowing i only have a hour for lunch I ordered a salad in hope that woudlnt take to long to come out and my friend i was with only ordered hot chips. Her chips took about 20mins to arrive and my salad took 45mins to come out by the time it arrived i had to get them to send it back to get put into a takeaway container. For a venue that people pick for lunch you would think they would be petter prepared. The salad was $16.50 but extra $5.00 if you wanted chicken in it. one i got my salad there was only about 5 tiny pieces in it. Complete joke paying over $20 for a salad that took opver 45mins to get

Came here with a few friends and it was pretty packed. Definitely on the sleazy end of things (in terms of the crowd) but the music was alright. A few too many men were turned down that night/made themselves known, but it was easy to say no. I'd definitely prefer something more low-key, but it was an ok night.
If you don't like paying up for your drinks, don't come here! The food was great, when the pizza was the same as "the Australian" for those familiar with that pub in the Rocks.
But now it's changed and gone down hill - not to mention a Johhny Walker Black in Plastic Cups, was $13.50 (Circa April 2012)
Sadly Cargo bar gets far too crowded for its own good. The crowd sadly are a bit full of themselves as much as the drink. If you are more interested in seeing yourself and being seen, then having a great drink, this is the place to come. Otherwise, Sydney has better places to be a local at.

I will go again, but get there before the massive line up appears out the front. Guards can be a bit picky too.
I prefer to go midweek when you can appreciate the view and the chilled out atmosphere rather than when it turns into a packed dancefloor
This is a trashy bar dressed as an upperclass hang out. The food is overpriced and very average. if you arrive early you can get a table but come 7pm I don't know why but the place is packed. Rude staff, yuck toilets expensive drinks... There are better ways to spend $250 in a night I think!
This is right near my work , they do a great $10 steak on a monday and Tuesday . Fantastic food . Grear outdoor area for a cider on a sunny sunday afternoon
I used to like this place when I was younger but I don't think it's very well suited to the late 20's market. I think it is probably a better place to go when you are between 18-24 but after that it seems a bit tacky. There is often broken glass on the dance floor, and it can be hard to find a seat, the alcohol is pretty low quality as well. The food is ok but is pretty over priced for what is essentially basic bar food.
Always a fun, fresh and youthful atmosphere. The level 2 cocktail bar is where I spend most of my time. The cocktail menu is so attractive. The staff are efficient, the food menu is good, the ambience is divine.

This place is a good, fun spot to catch up with friends and enjoy some drinks. In the evenings and at weekends it gets extremely busy though! The lunchtime menu is not too bad, there is a lot of choice and the prices are reasonable.

Love it on the weekend, and during the week - the best place to hang out with friends with a bottle of wine and enjoy the atmosphere
This is an ok place to go and eat, but you spend alot of money on average food. You are really just paying for the view. The alcohol is also not cheap, but again your paying for the view. Nice on a Friday afternoon in the sun in summer

We were stopped at the gate by two racist bouncers...they said your name should be on the list...That is bull shit............they just do that not to over crowd the place..the guy also said to me why was i there if i didnt have anything to celebrate..non of his F***ing biz..bloddy snooty place. bunglow eight is much better and more happening
I use to always come here after work with my friends. I love the upstairs - which is the lounge but downstairs is the bar. I love the atmosphere and it's always the place to go.
