This is one cafe I'll never go back to or recommend to anyone.
I once ordered a large cookie which she proceeded to pull out of the cookie jar with her bare hands. When I said I didn't want the cookie because she had touched it she rolled her eyes and couldn't understand why. I explained that I didn't know if her hands were clean and that just before she served me she had been outside smoking a cigarette and hadn't washed her hands when before handling the cookie. She said that she doesn't need to wash her hand and that they use hand sanitiser. I pointed out that I hadn't seen her put any on. She said that her hands were clean and that I was over reacting. I told her that I didn't think I was and that every other eatery uses hygienic food handling practices. She then told me that if I didn't like the way she does things that I could leave. So I did and when I returned home I called the local Shire to file a complaint. This was many months ago and I never heard back from the Shire. The cafe is still there and I don't know if she was ever spoken to by anyone. If you go there, do yourself a favour and keep an eye on how the food is handled when it is served to you.
