It's clear that some staff need an attitude adjustment. I sent a drink back because it was not (hot) as requested. Instead of being gracious about the mistake, the server was quite rude. That's a great way to lose business!
Love the quirkiness of this hidden gem! Food is lovely with a great menu to choose from. Kids area at the back is spacious with plenty to keep them entertained without worrying about disturbing others. Outside area looks great too.
I like the setting, I like the place, I love the food.
They have good coffee and I see a whole lot of other drinks that sound nice.
The burger is good. Go for it!
A brilliant cafe, with an fabulous outdoor area for when the weather is of course better than what we are currently experiencing. The staff are pleasant, they offer some amazing coffee and real quality food, sure to suit everyone's tastebuds. Prices are reasonable, and a relaxing atmosphere makes this cafe very enjoyable.
Cafe Komodo just go from strength to strength! Their staff are friendly without being intrusive, and the outdoor area is a breath of fresh air on a beautiful day.
Their menu is still to die for... a favourite place to bring a book and read, or eat one of their delicious meals which blend health and comfort food so wonderfully.
Really good coffee place, it's small cafe but the quality of coffee is just amazing! The staff is friendly & the service is also quick
What an interesting and quirky cafe! We walked down a very narrow gap between buildings and it opens out to a nice area with retro, mis-matched tables and chairs. Service was good and I enjoyed the steak sandwich I ordered. My only slight complaint was that the meat was a bit tough and the knife too blunt. Other than that? Great!
Holy heck, the beef burger here is good. My friend lives around the corner from this place and so we often walk around to grab a little something to eat... 'Little' being relative. The burgers are huge! The chicken burger has a delicious coleslaw on it that made me rethink my hatred of slaw. The nachos are also huge and delicious.
For a cafe which doesn't bang on about their burgers, they make one of the best in Adelaide - second only to a certain Blackwood burger joint, in my opinion.
Mmm yum! Love this place as I always have.
It's a nice garden out the back and the people are lovely.
The eggs benedict is very nice and different including pine nuts. I like coming here especially for their satay tofu burger though. I know it's vegetarian, but it's just so tasty!

I went to cafe Komodo recently for the first time. It's really quirky. The entrance to the cafe is a great introduction as you have to walk down a little pathway with character. It's a very spacious cafe, with plenty of windows and open doors, cozy corners and another lounge area out the back. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Coffee prices are standard. Good experience.
Awesome, awesome spot. Friday nights are a really cool experience, the live music is never dissapointing. Drinks and food are slightly over priced, but you can forgive that for the novelty and uniqueness of your experience. Unfortunately it got very popular quite quickly so it's sometimes a struggle to get a table.
Cafe Komodo feels like a little piece of a retro home. The food and friendly service keep me and my friends coming back, time and time again. The place is hidden away down a small lane and if you blinked you could miss it. Breastfeeding is welcomed there, but they dont have much of a place to change baby bums. I often chose the back lounge area to have my tea and let my toddler play about. Such a nice place to just BE, you know?

Funny little spot that after walking down the narrow long entrance opens out to a very retro funky setting. The food is wonderful and very wholesome. I would say the only draw back though is on a 1 hour lunch break from work I only just get the food in time to scoff it down quick (have had to ask for it at times). They put loving care into the food - just a bit tight for a short lunch.
little hidden beauty , love the food, love the friendly staff, and the fresh home made organic food, all set in a retro relaxed theme. best things on the menu are the iced chai, and pumpkin vegan curry ( and I'm not a vegetarian )
Approximate cost: $15
Love this one. They have this awesome tofu burger and some other pretty innovative ideas that make the mouth water just thinking about them.
And it's all free range and organic and the like so you know it's going to be relatively healthy.
Highly recommended

Love it here! Small, cosy and intimate with the option to sit indoors or out. Good food, good music, great atmosphere. It's a hidden jewel in a city full of mess hall style bistros.
Little cafe that has very friendly staff and lots of freshly made stuff especially for lunch. They have a wide variety and great coffee to go with it. Like the atmosphere and the location
