Delicious asian bakery snacks, just like what you'd get overseas! Very affordable and a great variety to choose from!
I come here to buy my lunch very often. They serve a range of baked savoury and sweet goods. My favourite savoury thing to get is the ham and cheese roll and my favourite sweet thing is the chocolate horn. In saying that all of their food is delicious! The staff however can be very quiet and not very interactive with their customers.
I love Breadtop. Everything is fresh each day, there's a great variety of sweet and savoury and they're reasonably priced. Service is always good too.
Approximate cost: $3
Love the range of pastries, cakes both sweet and savoury. Made fresh daily but service nothing special. Good value pricing and good tasting. I love the pineapple/coconut danish for sweet or sausage bun for savoury.
Asian bakery serving up freshly baked bread rolls, cakes and other savoury treats. Reasonably priced, but their cakes a bit on the small sized for the prices they charge. There is definitely room for improvement on the customer service skills, but I suspect most customers don't come there for that, but for tasty bread. My face are the twin sausage buns and my son loves it wheni bring home him the chocolate marble bread
A bread making factory rather than bakery.
This chain offers asian style breads and pastries. There is lots of variety and it is priced reasonably. Quality wise, it is always consistent and reasonable - it all comes from a commercial 'bread top factory'. Highly recommended if you are looking for an inexpensive asian bread/pastry.
this place has the most amazing cakes and rolls and all sorts of bread type snacks.
the value of these are sensational compared to western bakeries.
they have many locations in melbourne so makes it easy to get to.
their bday cakes aint just pretty but super tasty as well
I cannot get enough of this bread. Although it is quite sweet, it's cheap and you can just keep on eating their delicious sweet/savoury snacks. Also the Taro loaves are amazing.
Approximate cost: $5
I regularly go this shop. Absolutely love their blackforest and tiramishu cakes. The taro bread makes a nice snack. Moreover, great location.
I like fresh breads and cookies. Every time I pass the shop I find some thing delicious for buying. It is nice walking around and looking carefully with a tray and then select some tasty thing.
Approximate cost: $10
Everytime I went pass this shop, the breads always looks appealing.
I haven't tried every single of it, but so far all the bread that I bought taste excellent.
But I don't really like the service. Most of the girl are a bit impolite, I know they tried to work fast but it looks like they are swerving.
Approximate cost: $3-4
Love this shop, every time you go past it you just want to look inside at the goodies the BreadTop has freshly baked, and as you enter the place the smell wafts into your nose and its simply divine.
The floss meat and sausage buns are always excellent if you're feeling like something savory. If you have a sweet tooth go for the choc chip buns that come in a pack of 6, they are seriously addictive!
The shop is always quite busy. But the food is excellent, very delicately made and delicious. Although I must admit I dont really like the way of selecting bread there. You have to get a tray and grab the bread with a pair of tongs.
I buy birthday cakes here every couple of months. The chocolate mud cake is the best! yet sometimes i find that the strawberries they use do not stand for very long, which is disappointing. But other than that i love going there for cute little cakes!
Approximate cost: $20
This bakery reminds me of pastries l saw in Japan and loved. I've tried some and they are delicious, not to mention varied and interesting to look at! You walk around and pick whichever one you like with tongs. It's fun.
Approximate cost: $3
Bread Top on Burke Street, Melbourne was a great first experience, i went there with a friend of mine one morning when we were hung over. The bread and little cakes and stuff is very sweet and perfect when you have a sweet tooth. Its not a bakery where you just want to get some great fresh bread, its a specialty shop. I can't go there all the time as its too sweet for you, but its a great place for those special occasions and you want nice sweet cake!!!
Approximate cost: $10.00
have been on quite a few occasions. it is a good take away when you are in a rush and need something light and quick.great pastries and cakes. the service can be slow at times but overall a good experience. would visit again.
Approximate cost: $2
I love Bread tops sweet bread and cakes. They are so good! I especially love the chocolate horns, they are full of the yummiest chocolate and have the softest sweet bread. I was also very impressed with the prices and service.
i had a pecan danish the other time. i loved it it was so creamy and delicious, definitely worth my money. some full cakes are a bit old btu generally the cakes are yum (mango and choc). they have a good variety and if u want a change for school there is choc and custard bread - very filling, bit expensive tho.
Approximate cost: $1.50-30
every time i went bread was really fresh ... i like the variety of the stuff they have for these cheap prices ... the seating is veery normal and it is self-service pretty much (not for coffee though!)
Approximate cost: $3
cool bakery if you want something to go with your coffee from one of the great coffee places in qv - they have a big range of danishs and other sweets to satisfy your cravings (espically good for a brunch snack
An Asian bakery in the busy QV center this place does a heap of different cakes, danishes, and scrolls, its self service - you pick out what you want, place it on a tray then pay at the desk - recommend getting the chocolate scroll yumm, staff could be friendlier.
