In my opinion, these guys have the best range of books in Canberra - no other generalised bookstore stocks as much manga as they do! :) Of course, their copies cost a little more than, say, Dymocks, but I'm more than willing to pay it if they don't stock it anywhere else!
Service-wise, they're just as delightful - no-one bothers you for just sitting and reading... and not buying! ;P Not a whole lot of those "can I help you with anything?!"-pesterers, too. But that's just a personal pet peeve of mine. Although, I do admit, it can be a little hard to find the book you want - but that's only because, and I repeat; their range of books (and other little trinkets) so, so, freakin' amazing! ;D
Overall, quite excellent - and the instore Gloria Jeans is a wonderful bonus! :D
If you love books you'll love borders its huge and is really easy to find the, kind of book you want, it has so much variety so you'll always find something you like.
It has a great cafe which is relaxing so you can read the book you purchased whilst having a coffee and a bite to eat
Great coffee shop with excellent coffee. Love the space near the coffee shop for reading. Although sometimes it is difficult to find the selections of books that I'm looking for.
Nice to be left to browse. Although sometimes difficult to get help if I'm looking for something that is not on the shelf when the computer says it is. The coffee shop is good. A good book buying experience.
