Book A Mover

The customer service was downright horrific!

At the time of the move, they called to let me know the truck had broken down and we'd need to reschedule for 8am the next day. When I asked what the compensation was for the inconvenience they said nothing could be done as it was a Sunday and the manager wasn't there. Then the removalists were 1hr late for that new time, and proceeded to complain about the stairs, even though stairs were part of the quote and I was paying $30 extra for them.

When I called customer service to complain and ask again about compensation he became very threatening and claimed we would have to cancel the whole job then and there simply because I was complaining about the service, even though half my stuff was in the truck already. Eventually the 2 young men engaged to do the job completed it without breaking anything and I was given a $5 reduction - woopy doo! They were cheap, and the men who did the work were much nicer to me after i worked to engage them in conversation and i suspect they are being treated badly too, but I still felt angry about the threatening man on the phone and the lack of customer care.

The other dodgy thing is I requested a quote with one company (AAA Bills Removals) and received an email from Book a Mover, who then passed me to a subsidiary called Melbourne Cheap Removals /Oz Cheap Removals. https://www.melbournecheapmovers.com.au/
