Blinds Downunder

If I knew these products existed, I would have bought them years ago! I had venetian blinds installed in my windows when we moved into our property more than 10 years ago, with a lot of light coming in, especially from the front rooms facing the road that were not ideal for sleep. I did not want to put an ugly curtain blind over them, until someone told me about these cassette blockout blinds. The blinds provide total blockout from light and have made such a difference to my sleep and that of my family. They also look very stylish and have made our rooms look so much better. The cassettes were exactly what we ordered in terms of measurements, and they were of high quality, as was the blind fabric and the exact colour we saw online. Alan was amazing at providing support throughout the order process, updated me on expected delivery and was courteous and responsive to all my questions pre and post installation. I initially bought for one room and then decided to buy for two more rooms. Do not hesitate if you are thinking about getting these, you will be very happy you did! Highly recommended in every way!

I needed sun shading blinds on the outside of my house and wanted them to be able to connect into an existing smart home installation. Most providers did not understand this need and just directed me to inadequate suppliers pamphlets.

I was looking to replace the fabric on our Roman blinds. I came across Blinds Downunder online. I was impressed with their website and tutorials. We had two external Auto awnings that had seen their days. Had a quote from a local mob who mentioned doing a reskin as hardware was OK. Worked out I could possibly do it myself, with a bit of Googling. Found Blinds Downunder on internet search. The online ordering system was easy to navigate and after a quick phone call [answered immediately] to verify a couple of points the order was placed. The price was better than other companies online. The turn around was pretty good considering Melbourne cup day was in the middle. The new skins were a perfect fit. We had a large quantity of blinds to order, 10 new roller blinds, as well as a fantastic service of being able to purchase 26 new fabric skins for old roller blinds.
Although initially nervous about buying online, Blinds Downunder were absolutely brilliant to deal with. Not only did they prove to be much more reasonably priced than local suppliers, they were extremely professional, knowledgable and honest. They were also super responsive with phone conversations, answers and quotes. We are from regional Victoria and everything was delivered on time and with exceptional packaging and directions.

We needed to replace a drop down screen, not used as a roller blind as such but it was a bespoke size and our request was a little unusual. We had tried quotes from several other places and most were almost 3x the price or because our request was a little different they never returned emails etc. These guys got back straight away and were not put off by the unusual nature of our job. Ordering online can be scary, but we spoke on the phone to ensure we were both on same page. Quote was timely, delivery eta was correct and follow up customer service to check our install went etc was the best we've experienced in a long time. Highly recommend this company.

We had a quote from a local supplier to match our existing blinds. Found the same one on Blinds Downunder for less than half the cost. Perfect match and fantastic customer service. We are remote, rural North Queensland, and blind arrived quickly.

Our old blinds were stained and looking really sad. Local suppliers refused to supply slats only so we were really happy to find Blinds Downunder on-line. The slats (32 of them) were easy to install and meant we could use all the existing parts except the slats. The slats were exactly the size and colour that I requested on the order form and the material quality is excellent. The cost was also very reasonable so we will definitely be using Blinds Downunder for any future orders.

Have been looking for a pretty patterned static window film available in Australia for many years, and I've finally found it! Had no luck with previous orders (sticky contact, not large format enough, poor quality etc). Super happy with this product!

I have ordered more, but installed on my bathroom louvers - privacy factor is good, and it's easy to install, high quality and a pretty pattern! yay!

We saved heaps both environmentally and cost wise by reskinning our blinds. Keep all the fittings and fixtures just putting bew fabric on. They supply excellent quality blockout and see through blinds cut to size with various bottom rail styles.

We also bought 3 completely new roller blinds with pelmets which are neat and stylish.

All were easy to install. The quality, communication and timing are excellent. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. Instructions available are really good too.

Love the new slats, they’re fantastic! The quality, sizes, and colours are exactly what I was looking for, they are great value for money, and the service was outstanding! It’s truly been a five-star experience!

I recently replaced all the window coverings in my home with replacement vertical blind slats and new roller blinds from Blinds Downunder, and I’m extremely happy with the results.
The old vertical slats were worn and discoloured, but these replacements have completely refreshed the look of my windows. They fit perfectly and look clean and modern. The new roller blinds, which also replaced older ones, operate smoothly and provide excellent light control and privacy.
After searching around, I found Blinds Downunder to be one of the very few companies in Australia that provide replacement vertical blind slats, and their prices were the best I could find.
What really stood out was their exceptional customer service. From answering my questions promptly to helping me ensure I had the right measurements, the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Even delivery to my rural area was handled efficiently, with clear communication every step of the way.

I specifically choose blinds down under as they offered a full cassette (block out) blind. I needed this particular blind as it is located near a fireplace and required to maintain safety clearances .
I then ordered a series of face fitted and recess fitted rollers for the rest of the house.

After the blinds arrived i completed the installation myself.
The recess blinds were very difficult to fit, but i got there in the end and the face fitted blinds - the aluminum facia was not going together.
On Saturday night at around 7pm i emailed blinds downunder for some confirmation i was sent the right parts for the face fitted blinds.

These guys were amazing.... within 20 mins i had a reply and we went back and forth for a good hour till i had installed the face fitted blinds. When we spoke about the recess fitted blinds, we realized they could have been a tad shorter... well after confirming measurements, blinds online charged a flat rate of $80 (which included shipping out and back) to have the blinds cut down.

Got those blinds back, fitted without issue.

During all this one part of the full cassette blind was not delivered.
Again.. these guys were great.. they followed up with Auspost and then shipped me a new set of parts free of charge.

I would definitely recommend these guys.
Service was great, product is great and price is highly competitive.

I ordered thermal roller blind material and used it to replace my old worn blind successfully. The cut was great. It was easy to apply double sided tape, plastic coated flat tape (like biase binding or hemming material) and then slot it into the metal blind roll. It worked out to be significantly cheaper and less wasteful than replacing the whole blind.

Now I know how easy it is, I'll be ordering more soon to replace another blind.

In Oct 2025, I ordered material for the 2nd time and once again I was impressed by the cut and quality of the material.

The size was just right and once again it was easy to replace.

I would recommend Blinds Downunder for all blind requirements as they're affordable and great quality.

Easy process and was able to communicate with them effectively via email and requested a rush with the order. A little pricey but that’s on us for leaving it last minute.

I couldn’t be happier with finding blinds down under. We had the bottom bar come off our blinds that were supplied and installed from another company and were approx 5 years old. Contacted them and after paying $100 for them to “service” the blinds and not be successful in fixing them they quoted a few hundred to fix 1 blind. There were 4 that were failing. After contacting blinds down under they were able to suppply the components for all 4 blinds for a fraction of the price we were quoted to fix 1.
Blinds down under were even proactive in offering remote assistance if there were any problems with the install (there weren’t, it was an easy process with some YouTube guidance)
I will happily recommend to family and friends and will be coming back if we have any future window covering requirements!

We order pelmets and as much as they weren't as retrofit as we'd have liked, and we had to make some adjustments, Alan's customer service was outstanding! He answered every one of my 1000 questions and helped us through the whole process! It was almost impossible to find any company who would just do pelmets, that wouldn't cost an absolute bomb!
