A fab bookshop with titles that are sometimes hard to find.
Good selection of specials & knowledgable staff.
Good coffee shop attached (you can sit outside or inside in a little angular nook).
They make the best salad nicoise - very tasty. Coffee is ok, nothing special & could do with some improvement.

You can park in the Norton Plaza car park for up to 2hrs for free.

Approximate cost: $4 - $20

This is a good shop to find a wider selection of books but sometimes the price is just that little bit more. I really like there selection of cards and note books etc.

The book shop is great, but what sets it apart is a gorgeous cafe upstairs. Its a lovely different place tpo catch up with friends for coffee.

What a pleasant surprise the Berkelouw Book Cafe, Newtown is! My wife discovered it recently so we popped over for a squizz and lunch today. A delightful refurbishment of what appears to be an old workshop housing an excellent bookshop selling both new and pre-loved books, on two levels. The upper level also contains a cafe, facing the street with a sunny, north eastern aspect.

The food and ambience is excellent. My beef ragout with creamy pollenta was mouth watering!
