Have been to Apte many times on the weekend for b'fast and loved it! We often have to wait around for a table, but don't mind the wait as the service and quality of food is great. The coffee is pretty good as well.
Have the most fantastic breakfast. Live a significant distance away and wanted to stop somewhere and it was definitely worth doing. Pancakes were brilliant. Even though live so far away still trying to work out a time to get back there to try something else
I came here after friends raved on about how good this place was for breakfast. We had to wait an hour for our big breakfast and when it came out there wasn't really anything big about it apart from the massive chunk of avocado which took up half the plate. Nice courtyard at the back though.
Apte do a really good breakfast and the coffee is awesome. But you can't book a table and it's always popular so you may find yourself waiting for a while for a table.. but the food and coffee is worth the wait.
Apte is well known for their all day breakfast menu. Its been raved about for ages so if you love a good wholesome breakkie, this place is a must go! As with all popular places it can get pretty crowdy in there so be prepared to wait a little. That didn't bother us though, the waitresses provide extremely good service. Very attentive and efficient, which is a huge plus for us! Wouldn't say its priced extremely well, but not bad considering its popularity and service. Nice!

Great atmosphere, busy but efficient, fantastic selection of food on offer and excellent coffee.
A very good breakfast menu, well prepared and with quality ingredients, especially the organic bread and the home made tomato relish. Coffee is usually very good, but can suffer a little when its frantically busy (Sundays) from being delayed in its passage to your table (as can your breakfast).

APTE is an oasis in the desert that is cafes in Alphington. The coffee is great and the menu is spectacularly good - particularly at breakfast time. I'm not usually a sweet breakfast fan, but the banana bread with pistachio labne is to die for.
The staff are friendly and calm in the face of the huge crowds that flock there, particularly on the weekends. The outdoor courtyard is very pretty and a more peaceful bet on a busy weekend day.
The toy baskets and the fact that it opens at 8am make it a great option for breakfast with the kids.
Best cafe menu around. Fresh, tasty, satisfying lunch & brekky choices. Amazing cake display hard to say no to. I wish they would take bookings!!! Can get very full & at times hard to find a park outside to then find out that the place is packed out. Very popular.Friendly staff & love kids
Good food, great service, great atmosphere in the courtyard. parking is a little difficult though! would definitely come back here! Love that you can bring your dog into the courtyard as well.

We had breakfast there - and the food was sensational. The onyl problem was that the service was slow (worth the wait though!)... It's a small cafe' so you'll have to book if there's a few of you dining at once.

A buzzing popular cafe. Hard to get a place on the weekend but worth waiting if necessary. Good coffee and delicious eggs. I don't get to Alphington often but will come again if I do.It has a nice outdoor garden area as well.

I really love this place for its location, vibe an a lovely meal, prompt service don't have to wait long. Lovely outdoor area, and indoor is nice too. yummy sweets.
I always enjoy spending some of my limited spare time lunching with friends and family in the outdoor section. The toy baskets ensure my daughter is distracted long enough for me to recharge my batteries with a latte.
What a relief to find a nice cafe that can make a great breakfast! This place would have nothing to fear if Gordon Ramsay dropped in...
The kitchen and the cafe itself are spotless, the ingredients are obviously fresh and good quality.
Can get a bit noisy when busy, especially when there's kids running around, but that's just the sort of place it is.

Love Apte, they are the most friendly staff. Always so welcoming to mums and bubs (and dads too!). Food is always yummy, fresh, a real good homemade style. Tubs of toys/books for kids is such a good idea, the courtyard is lovely on a nice day. Not to mention the parking if you can get it out the back. Love it all.
The best coffee in Australia - possibly the world. Friendly happy staff, beautiful light, room filled with changing art work. Definietly has fabulous Feng Shui. Food is delicious and stands out from whats being offered elsewhere closeby.
