There are many different exhibitions here, but this time we went expecially to see the WW1 Centenary exhibition.Very well presented. Lots of reading, personel diaries, and images. Films and the real sound of war. Gives you a very good understanding of the trauma that the solders went through and also there families. Only here for a limited time so a must see. Allow yourself at least 90 minutes to just see that section. Very educational, and staff very helpful from the front counter to the exhibitions.
Nothing flash, but a good tasty ,hot and well priced meal, served with a smile. Plenty to pick from on the menu. As soon as you sit down your hot cup of tea is in front of you. Takeaway is also available. Right in amongst all the other Chinese , Thai Restaurants so you have to really look for it.
Very close to Granite island with good car parking close by and great views. The Encounter restaurant has a carvery buffet and if you have supermarket docket it is a good buy , with secord meal for only $6.50. Roasted vegies tasted great and meat portions good size, and presented nicely. Selection of about 6 deserts to suit everyone. Staff friendly and the service was good, considering it was quite busy.
Situated right next to the shopping centre. This large hotel has a very big dining area, which can be sectioned off. Buffet well worth a visit if your really hungry. Two soups which were really hot and tasty, a good selection of salads and vegies. Roast Meat and three gravies. A good variety of Chinese and Indian. And a large selection of sweets. Sports Bar and pokies also available. Would be a good idea to make a booking as can get very busy with groups.
Very good service from the chemist at this pharmacy, explains the medicine you are taking, and enquires why you are taking it. Takes a interest in you and is very friendly. Only a very small pharmacy , but has what you want or will get it in. In a small shopping strip opposite the doctors , so in a very handy spot.
Free entry. Well maintained lawns and flower beds and big old shady trees, and also a vegetable patch. Conducted walks and talks on certain days. Quaint little building there that has books for children to read while you relax in the gardens. Nice cafe that caters for light lunch's , and also nice hot coffee and cake. They provide blankets to either spread on lawn, or cover your knees on these cool days . Well worth a visit.
Great for the younger kids (around 5 year olds love it). Very much like the Myers Xmas Windows with the fairy tale characters, but you had to work your way up a steep path up the mountain. Good view along the way of the country side. Would be a good idea if there was a toilet at the top of mountain, as kids always need to go. And make sure you rug up warmly as its very windy and cold out there. Good B.B.Q facilities.
Approximate cost: $16.0
Always a great range of fruit and vegies here, sometimes they can be a little picked over, but generally really good. Have there weekly specials, and they are already a lot cheaper than the supermarket.
Prices are always cheaper than other supermarkets. Cant always get what you want here, but can get most things even if there not brand names. Have good weekly specials and many things also that you dont expect to be able to get in a supermarket. Have to always remember to bring your own bags, Only thing wrong with Aldi's is, if you only want 1 or 2 things there is no express isles.
Nice friendly staff , from the front desk to the dentist and her assistant. Being a dentist you are always worried about what there about to do and the pain your mouth and back pocket is going to go through, but here, both were pretty good. Being right in shopping centre its easy to find and get in and out of.
