Held at several locations around the country every week (rotating through different suburbs in the major metropolitan cities in each state except NT). It's a great service – gives parents a chance to sell their preloved baby and kids goods, and gives other parents many many opportunities to grab many good quality bargains for their own kids. I have been able to save so much buying my daughter's clothes and toys through the local BKM (e.g. A Fisher Price Little People Zoo for $5, Little People figures for $1 each, Pumpkin Patch pants and shirts for $2-5 each etc). Staff are always pleasant and helpful. There is a $3 entry fee, and it's very very busy, but a lot of fun!
This is a long-term favourite cafe of mine and my mothers'. We've been coming here together for more than 10 years now – lovely coffee, meals, desserts; friendly efficient staff. Not a particularly little-child-friendly cafe, but beautiful ambience and comfortable seating. Typical cafe prices. On the top level of Miranda Westfield, just down from Target.

I needed an electrician to come out to fix a light fitting, and these guys were prompt, pleasant to deal with, and willing to talk me through some other issues I have been contemplating fixing. His advice was helpful, relatively unbiased, and quickly fixed the initial call out problem. These guys also have other tradespeople in other trades on hand, and promise same day service.
We have been here several times now, using their function room for big family parties (birthdays and Christmas). The function coordinator has always impressed me with her friendly warm attitude and genuine connection with my family. Meals have been tasty and served hot. The function room has always been clean and comfortable. Occasionally the bar service has been slow, and no clear indication why as there did not seem to be a lot of people around the bar. But the views across the golf course and up to the mountains are fantastic, and I really enjoy coming here!
Whilst a grocer and salad/burger bar, they also have a lovely gelato bar, with dairy-free options! On a warm summer afternoon, their raspberry and lemon sorbet cup was light and refreshing. Seemed to be quite popular – took me a while to be served. I also noted, whilst I was waiting, they could make fresh peanut butter with their own grinder! I was impressed with the range of groceries and lunch options.
While this is primarily a grocery/homewares shop, I am reviewing the yumcha section. It's just a little bar next to the counter, but they have a great selection of delicious, inexpensive yum cha – I had my usual favourite, the steamed BBQ pork bun, and tried a waterchestnut dumpling (I think it was?). Light, delicious, and tender, and really met my craving for decent asian food whilst away from home!
Our pool started leaking badly and our pool shop recommended Trevor. He was able to come by when we were out, use his scuba gear to dive through the pool and locate the leak, and fix it - all in a couple of days of us contacting him. Was very impressed with prompt, no-fuss effective service. This cost $220.
Whilst perhaps not the breadth of choices I was expecting (having been spoilt with Pancakes at the Rocks in Sydney) on the menu, still was tasty and fresh and good value for money. I had the vege crepe and it was delicious! A great touch is that they have small and large versions of the main meals so it accommodates kids and small eaters' tastes really well. Great little kids play area.
Has a lovely kids play corner, delicious coffee (and other drinks for those who don't like coffee, like my husband!), and yummy food. Maybe a little more expensive than some other cafes, but good service and a variety of comfortable seating.
A lovely little take-away noodle bar in Port Mac CBD. Meals are cheap and good variety (approx 10 per box), full of noodles, fresh veges (and meat when requested), and cooked before your eyes. Very tasty and filling!
