I came here often a year back and since I am back in the area I decided to visit again as Kim was a wonderful technician. I had an appt so booked in for 4.30. I was 15 mins late and they were closing as they werent busy but reopened for me. That was nice of them. I do like the service and you deal with one technician, not 12 so you get their full attention. They are a tiny bit more expensive then the one I used to go to but a lot more experienced I think. Very hygenic and clean. My new regular place.
Hamilton Island is a beautiful place. We chose these apartments as they were on the cheaper end (although still quite expensive as everything in this island paradise is) Glad that we did! The apartments were spacious and everything we needed was there. The fridge was large and that was great as you have to order from colesonline if you want normal priced groceries. We stayed for 10 days. We were on the 2nd highest floor so the view was absolutely spectacular. The balcony was great although the resident cockatoos were always trying to break in! Reception was friendly and they had a guest library down stairs. I cant pick a fault. The other resorts are a lot more luxurious but these are meant to be 'basic' and they seemed 5 star to me!
Rokk Ebony is the closest hairdresser to me. I only saw great reviews online but none of the girls I knew in the area had been there. I picked up a price list. They are very expensive and have a basic stylist, principal stylist, style director and creative director. The higher the more $$$. I was advised to use someone in the middle for a first visit and then a stylist to maintain. I was having a cut $120, 1/2 head foils $140,toner 50-80. I was told that to skip the treatment at the basin I save $20...the only good thing is they quote you the end price so you don't leave in tears as I've heard people have. However I was confident due to the expertise (and price)I was in good hands. The place itself is vibrant and very busy, the service for coffee etc is great...but it isn't a cafe...My foils were nothing like the picture I showed and undetectable. Toner didn't change anything. A girl came to cut my hair whilst it was soaking wet. She had not seen it before and just wanted to start hacking at it and I panicked and opted out. Lucky I did but the quick dry off (I didnt have another $88-180 for a blow dry) was terrible and I didnt even see the hairdresser that I had an appt with as everyone was soooo rushed and no attention was really given. I was only spoken to when I was told what products I need to buy for my hair. I purchased a product that I read about online, but funny enough noone else knew what it did...they had to read the back. So I myself will not be going back. I expect more for that price but if you have the money and can afford the very best give it ago. I only went with the principal stylist. You get $25 off your first visit so I would just suggest getting something minor to see if the service is good for you as they do have great reviews everywhere...I must have just lucked out?
I admit I am very fussy with hairdressers (I have tried 3 in the last 2 months as I need to find a fabulous one that LISTENS!) I do not need to look anymore. I not only received a consultation before my style cut but advice on everything (shampoos/blowdrying tips/colours that suit etc) without being forced to buy anything!! The hairdressers were genuinely passionate about hair and even the apprentice was lovely. I usually show pictures to hairdressers and they ignore them and I leave unhappy. This hairdresser wanted to see everything I had in mind and gave me advice on what I can and cannot achieve. I had 100 percent trust and for the first time let them take as much as they thought off my hair! And I am a very happy girl! I was given a wet cut first and then another after a blow dry to fix the layers. I cannot reccomend this place strongly enough even though I was hesitant to as I wanted to keep it a secret! ;)
This site does have the lowest prices but if you encounter any problems customer service is nn existent and they are all based in the phillipines which makes it harder. My flights were cancelled due to flooding at my destination and I was unable to get to any of the hotels booked. They didn't care and avoided emails. One of the people from the phillipines laughed about the flooding. I understand they don't know what happens in Australia due to being overseas but they should not advertise like they are in Australia. I finally had to call in a dispute resolution service to get my refund. Very stressful and not worth it in the end. If problems with your destination arise you will get no help. But again, cheapest prices but risky...
I have used a few sites similar to this and found this as my favourite. Only once have I found a cheaper price but the service was terrible and offshore. With lastminute.com.au I have booked local mystery stays and interstate stays. I have never had a problem with them and it's always fun to keep guessing what the mystery hotel is! Will continue to use them!
I love ice cream but am trying to eat healthy so am in love with these low calorie substitutes. Tastes fantastic. Addicted to anything peanut butter. I love their smoothies aswell. I have a rewards card and you get a free small ice cream after spending a certain amount. I do hope they upgrade it to other items aswell as I tend to have a lot of points but don really purchase smalls.
My local concept store in Southland which I have been going to for years has changed make up artists and as I spend $$$ I was so upset at the service by a certain artist that I sought out a new store and HAPPY I DID! I have seen Tahni a couple of times and I must say as a makeup junkie I think she is the best makeup artist I have had the pleasure of being a client to. She goes all out showing you contouring and tips and tricks that are usually not shown. I fell in love with all the products she used on me. I can't reccomend the girls here highly enough! I would recommend their full $80 makeovers. Reedemable on products and worth every cent.
This gym is new to the area and the joining is pretty much the same as everywhere else. Approx $36 a fortnight after the joining and admin fees which can be a couple of 100. Not that cheap but it does provide child care, classes,PT's and the gym which has great equipment. The reception are friendly aswell. the only gripe I have is the machines (treadmill and such) aren't connecting to the tv or ipod as they usually do. You have to keep swapping until you find one that works which is annoying and I need music for motivation. More upkeep of equipment is needed and cleaning. Other then that it is a great gym to achieve yur fitness goals!
As I always say a busy business is a good one and Andrea Darby is absolutely FANTASTIC. Certificates adorn the walls of her spotless cinic in Elwood. She is known as the best in her field having worked in this industry for years and undertaken every training venue here and internationally to keep up with trends. She also is a trainer so you can be guaranteed to have only an expert to tattoo you. I have been there many times and always leave with a natural subtle look. She also has learnt from plastic surgeons to camouflage scars and baldness. I cannot reccomend this woman enough. My confidence has soared after meeting her.
