The people at the Reptile Centa are Fantastic.
The quality of service is fantastic, the range of goods to buy is fantastic, the
knowledge they share is fantastic. They often have fantastic lines of various reptiles for adoption/purchase and they assist with getting a licence (well they did with me!)

It's a catch 22.
They are SA's one and only Avian and reptile "special" vet. (apparently)
In this regards, they are terrible. Not only are they using outdated methods commonly NOT used anymore, but they always need to refer to books.
I asked once " I have one bird that screams for attention, I dont want this new bird you are examining to pick that up, is there anything I can do to avoid this?". The answer. "Not really". This cost $27 as a behavioral consult (ontop of other general fees).
In regards to dogs and cats, they are wonderful and I wouldnt hesitate to reccommend them.

I found the store small and cramped. The puppy cages were a little on the small side.
On a good note, the couple who seem to own (at least run) the store are extremely helpful.
