For a good cheap meal this shop is good value. They have special deals on certain days which are great. The shop is very clean, service is good and fairly quick depending on how many customers there are. You can sit down and eat inside. There is quite a good range of foods available from this shop.
Have been buying plants from here for years. Staff are always helpful and give good advice without making you feel as though you know nothing about plants. They often have great specials on throughout the year and also have a gardeners club which you can join and get a discount on your purchases. Even if I go there and don't buy anything I love to look at all the colours of the different plants and find it very relaxing - you can even have a meal there in the cafe.
We have been going to these optometrists for years and have found that they give good service. They bulk bill and also take health fund rebates. If there are any major problems with any of the eye tests they do they will refer you to a specialist. Our only problem has been that on a couple of occasions we have had to wait for a fair while to get our new glasses and have not always had a spare pair on hand. Prices vary as to what lenses and what frames you want
Quality of meat and the service are both great. This butcher has been nominated and has also won several awards for Blacktown Business of the Year. They are located outside of Coles and it is great to see the number of clients who they have and who keep returning each week. Prices are higher than Coles or Woolies but it is worth it in the end.
We have had our dining suite re- upholstered and french polished as well as having several other items of furniture restored. Len comes out to your home to give a quote and explains everything fully. He has a great range of fabrics and colours if you want something re-upholstered . The guy who he gets to do the restoration work does a fantastic job - we are absolutely thrilled with what he has done to the dining suite and our other items of furniture - between the 2 of them they have added quite a lot of value to our furniture (not that we want to sell any of it). It is well worth checking out Len's web site to see what else he does. Prices of course vary but they are very reasonable.
This school is one of the leading primary schools in the area (that is not to say that other schools are poorly rated as each school has its'own merits). KLPS as it is fondly known as has always had a good reputation for academic achievements as well as sporting achievements. I believe that now the school is beginning to deal a lot better with children with learning difficulties such as developmental delay, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, and other problems ( these were an issue a few years ago but are now being addressed). The teaching staff are dedicated to their jobs and many help out in their own time with debating, music and dance groups, various sporting activities etc. The school has a wide variety of outings or in-school performances for each year.
This is a very small but friendly library and the staff there are great. If you don't want a lot of noise but need helpful advice this is one place to go. Lalor Park Library is part of the Blacktown Library Service - I would recommend all of the libraries that come under this umbrella.
This pharmacy has served our family for over 12-15 years and I think it has been there even longer. The staff are very well trained and know what they are talking about. The pharmacists are extremely helpful and give very good advice regarding any issues with medications. This pharmacy is open 7 days a week 364 days a year from 8 or 8 :30am until 8:30 - 9pm which is extremely handy for many people.
The staff at this branch of St George have always been friendly and professional in their approach to the customers. They have always been able to help us out if we have had a problem and are usually able to fix it whilst we are in the bank.
In 2004 we had a large double carport put up off our double garage - we had so many comments as to how good it looked. In 2006 we had extensions to our house which include a huge veranda to the front and a large double storey extension at the back. We went back to Patioland who had originally installed the carport and asked them if they could extend an awning off it to cover the veranda and that we also wanted an awning off the extension at the back. They were very prompt in coming out and drawing up plans etc. Within about 3 weeks we had a call that there was a minor problem with the council and could they come and see us about it. Patioland came out & made some adjustments to the plans which they had to show us and them within a short apace of time the work was started and completed within 2-3 days. About 18 months after we had the awning built out the back we needed to extend it and contacted Patioland again. Once again they were very prompt in coming out and helping us. Within a couple of weeks the extension to the back awning was completed and we were absolutely delighted with the finish. We have now had so many comments about both of the awnings from people who have told us that it has made the house look great. The workmanship was excellent and we have recommended them to quite a number of people. We have added a lot of value to our house but more than that we enjoy being able to use the outside areas whereas before we were limited in what we could do.
