A good range of Japanese food and some particularly nice sake which is not so common in Melbourne. The sushi is also good, although grocery prices are a bit expensive. If you want to pay less, go to Clayton or the city.
I have never eaten here so can't vouch for the food although it looked yummy. I came here as they stock a few types of herbal teas that are hard to find anywhere else. So for me it is worth going a little out of my way to get my favorite teas. The service has also been very friendly, I have been there about three times.
The reason this shop is so crammed is that they are always getting new stuff which makes it worthwhile if you have the time to hunt for a bargain. Best for kid clothes and toys plus the seconds Nine West shoes can be great bargains if you can find your size!
I like this family business as they have just about everything and I usually include them in a trip to the nearby DFO. I usually buy bulk bread flour and coffee plus they have great deli items and a wide range of olive oils. The service is pleasant and lots of parking.
If you are looking for fruit trees I recommend this shop. We have bought many trees here and they have a wide range of different types of fruit in various sizes at reasonable prices. I think the range of seedlings is also good and slightly cheaper than the big green shop starting with a "B". We have got healthy herbs and vegetables from this shop and they have convenient trolleys to get things to your car. It does get busy on weekends.
This is the best place to go if you need gluten-free or any health foods. We always buy their organic garlic and veggies,plus they have a comprehensive range of vitamins and a naturpath service.
Yes, this is a chain of stores, but at this Dick Smith I received exceptional service one day when I was trying to replace my own home alarm battery. They were so helpful I was amazed and I have been in there again to buy batteries and small appliances and have found them to be extremely helpful and happy every time. Recommended for the service!
They certainly have lovely food and huge variety of Middle Eastern delights here, but I find it a bit expensive. It is extremely popular though and always packed on the weekend. Great for the gourmet food shoppers with a very good range of take home food for quick catering.
I was a bit worried about buying seconds here, however they have such a good warranty that it is easy to bring something back if you don't like it, plus very good service and excellent prices. I initially got a bread maker which was faulty but I exchanged it and the second one lasted me for years. So I went back again recently and got a new one which is going strong. This is well worth a visit for electrical appliances which are a good brand at the definitely the best prices, can't go wrong.
I usually go here in the afternoon for coffee with friends so don't know what it is like at peak times. The coffee is always good, friendly service and the cakes I have eaten were very nice. It is a handy local cafe and seems to also have a lot of regular takeaway coffee drinkers as well. The fact that it is usually busy probably speaks for itself.
