Big modern bowls club, very popular with tourists and locals and suits different age groups depending on venue chosen
Parking: big off street car park, a long way to the front door so be prepared for a hike.
Front desk high-tech sign-in, very easy once you know how, but the staff member was snappy and impatient with new patrons who took longer to catch on
We all attended a celebrity book launch here - conference venue is modern, well appointed and comfortable.
Food/bev: numerous varied dining choices - food is v good, cheaper with Members deals.
Cafe prices very reasonable - we had 'turkish toasties' at $8.80 - yum

Tip: have a wander around, admire the light airy modern decor

Large commercial tourist complex exhibiting Little Penguins (aka"fairy") on Phillip Island Vic
Although this is a "must do" for Melbourne tourists, birdos may be over-whelmed with this much hype.
We arrived early to look around the venue while still quiet - the gatekeeper tried to charge entry fees for the entire party just to look at the shops! (this was prevented only after long detailed explanations and supervisor intervention)
After that we had fun making fun of kitch/retro penguin-themed stuff
There are many quiet places in Victoria for excellent bird watching, seeing birds in the wild is kinda better
TIP: always check for stray penguins under the car before you leave the venue!

Big very popular hotel in Bendigo on main road
Attended a hilarious morning ladies' function here. We were all very impressed with this beautifully appointed venue.
Staff had decorated our very long table, we had everything catered for - excellent coffee and interesting cakes and nibbles.
This was a wonderful experience, the staff were helpful, non-intrusive and patient.
Food and coffee very good and well presented.

Popular club with various venues and gaming
Meals: we usually book for lunch at Bistro open from 11.30am - food is dear but good
Attend regular meetings here - old meeting venue house at side of club was dated and grotty.
Meeting venue inside bowls meeting room is much nicer, well appointed, properly climate controlled.
Staff friendly and helpful
Car park: off road, also more spaces to rear of club when busy

Large outdoor plant nursery - specialising in Central Vic Goldfields native revegetation species
Out of town - lovely location - fairly easy to find
Many other non-native garden plants available

This is an excellent nursery for most North Central Victorian species, also some hard to find plants we found here
Botanist plant carers on site for excellent advice - might have to go looking, but they are there amongst the foliage

We have good reveg orders from here, tubestock nearly all available, good success with most plants purchased

Tip: Customer car park on gravel slope - take extra care walking on gravel paths

Tube stock; very large variety available on site, on line, and by order. Larger pots for sale in undercover nursery at front gate
Botanist plant carer on site, available to advise about our native reveg needs.
Tree guards ('corflute') available - excellent design, big and hardy, tough enough to protect our new trees from very hot windy Summer conditions. Easy to transport, quick to assemble, posts supplied. Lids available - prevent frostbite!
Due to great success with these tree guards we returned for another large bulk order.

Unfortunately feed was poor standard - 'hit and miss' at best
LABEL OF CONTENTS - missing: No functional label of contents
Declaration of restricted material - missing
Date of Manufacture, expiry dates, batch number - all missing therefore when the family needed to phone about the contents there was no traceability with their product
No name of manufacturer, no address, phone number website or email for followup contact
Dept Ag Vic advised to go back to buying from "Feedsafe Accredited" feed manufacturers as we have before, to protect us and our animals

Full disclosure of feed contents, accountability, traceability all important to breeders - Vet refers to stock feed labels and determines components of feed consumed

Lesson learnt = buyer beware

Attended a two day convention - company was well impressed overall with this venue.
Magnificent water views over golf course fairways from upstairs balcony - where we were able to enjoy our coffees.
Appointments in venue rooms: clean, convenient, well done.
Staff: efficient, polite, cheerful and unobtrusive.
Food and drinks: beautifully prepared and faultlessly served throughout the day.
Car park: buses mingling with golfers in traffic somewhat confusing
The venue was professional and well run.
