I went to Pho Dakao Hoang at 12pm. It was crowded but no queue. Hot tea was served in a thermos flask. I ordered Crispy Chicken with Red Rice $8.50. The Maryland tasted bland. The rice tasted like rice except for its colour. But wait a minute. The magic was in the sweet & spicy dip that I did not notice at first.

I went to SkyHigh, a bistro-cafe-restaurant on top of Mount Dandenong. With panoramic views & delicious scones $8.40 (for breakfast), who wants to leave? The hot chocolate (mug) $4.50 came with 2 marshmallows - lovely. Strongly recommended. Also, try the maze ($6 for adult) - should be fun.

I reached Shiraaz at 5pm - my first visit & their first customer for dinner that day. Smell of Indian incense lingered. Indian song was switched to English. Service was pleasant. Cold water was served. Chicken Saagwala HOT ($16.00) was pricey & not what I expected. Naan ($3.00) was good - hot & moist.

I was in a rush & had time only for takeaway. I chose lunch special from Inn of Khong - Satay Beef with Fried Rice . Service was pleasant & quick. I was surprised they could not provide cut chillies. But they offered chilli sauce which I accepted. A simple & satisfying lunch.

New Wan Wah caters for Chinese Takeaway only. There is no eat in. Business is brisk but service is quick. Generally, food is tasty & cheap. Lunch Special starts from $7.80. TIPS: Don't order curry or gravy dishes unless rice is packed separately - Too WET. A WORD OF CAUTION: My mouth gets dry after eating.

I have been eating at Gourmet Noodle House for 5 years now. I always order Combination Beef Noodle (Large) @ $10.90 & 3 Colors (a cold dessert) @ $3.00 - YUMMY YUMMY. Every table gets a free pot of Chinese tea. TIPS: Eat there only if you are not in a hurry or bad mood. Strongly Recommended.

I was shopping at Westpoint Blacktown & had a sudden craving for spicy foods. My iPhone led me to Level 4 Hi Thai. I ordered Exotic Seafood (Homok Talay) @ $22.90 + Jasmine Rice @ $2.50 - DOUBLE YUMMY. But without the free drinking water, I felt the price was a bit too steep for me.

I stumbled upon Blacktown Thai a year ago & ever since then, I have been eating there at least once a week. They serve free cold drinking water without asking. I always order Chilli Basil Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) - Beef. It is delicious & at $12.90 a great deal. Strongly Recommended.

Art & Crafts Mudgee was indeed a beautifully restored heritage building. It took my breath away. The lady manning the place was pleasant & not intrusive. If you love cute adorable things, this is the place for you. Show your support for local artists & artisans here. Buy lovely souvenirs for family & friends.

I went to Farmer's Daughter Wines on Good Friday afternoon. I had a great time tasting 4 White Wines & 1 Red Wine. The 2014 Late Harvest Chardonnay priced at $22 per bottle was excellent - not dry or acidic but fragrant sweet. There was a 9% discount on my purchase - sweeter. Recommended.
