Having lived in the area for years, for some reason I'd never ventured into this restaurant. The facade is a bit bland but once you're inside - Wow! The food is authentic and unusual and delicious. Prices a good. What an unexpected delight was all I could think at the end of the night!

Jimmy Watson's is a Melbourne institution and a fabulous place to hang out. In my poor student days we used to order a bottle of dry and dry for $7 and drink it in the courtyard out the back. Nowadays I would go there for the fab cheeses/antipasto and wine selection and the brilliantly cooked food.

Not bad compared to the other local pizza places. They subscribe to the cover the pizza in a kilo of cheese theory though so we really only have it we're feeling like a junk food binge. It's not a realistic option for an every day meal. Prices are good but delivery is up to an hour some nights.10

Fantastic local Thai restaurant. Staff are lovely and food is great and seems to be really authentic in comparison to other Thai restaurants I've been to - the chicken satay is to die for. What else can I say?

I've been here a few times before a night out/going to see a movie at Crown. It is much better value IMO than any of the other places along the promenade. The food is delicious authentic chinese. Staff are rushed but efficient. And service is FAST.

I've regularly visited this post office and they've regularly lost my parcels/ refused to admit they have my parcels when they do and tried to ignore the fact that I'm standing waiting to be served. The worst is the old bloke with the glasses (the franchisor?) who will actually finish the page of the newspaper he's reading while you wait and then look up as if you've bothered him in the middle of dinner... and then deny he's got your parcel. Also, they are half newsagent/half post office and open at about 7am but do not sell train tickets in the morning. Apparently the chemist sells the train tickets, which is pretty unhelpful because the chemist isn't open at that time.
This is a standard bakehouse. Basically Brumby's without the logo. I'm getting quite tired of the range though. The bread is fresh and reliable but they have very little in the way of healthy snacks and options.
I ordered pet food off these guys for about 6 months. Unfortunately I decided I wanted to switch to a brand they didn't have. Good business but range is limited. Also with the expansion of pet shops on the net they are expensive unless you use their loyalty program which isn't stated clearly. Also, they once delivered the food next door and argued with my husband that we had said that address (why would we?!)
Overall, I avoid this IGA like the plague. They're advertising that he's open on public holidays with cardboard signs stuck up at local intersections, which is fine but actually going there is a big disappointment. The vegies aren't fresh and are way overpriced.
This place is everyone's fantasy chicken shop to have down the road. Lilydale free range chicken, brilliant fresh salads and probably the best souvlaki I've ever had.
It is absolutely packed and unfortunately the service doesn't quite match up to demand. I think there's simply too many things on the menu, which means the stuff are running around in circles trying to get everything done. Be prepared to wait about 2o mins for takeaway but when you get it it's delicious.
