I really dislike this venue. The security staff work on intimidation value which is understandable considering the drop-kicks they have come through but the patrons that are reasonably respectable have to bear the brunt. A few heightened standards in dress code could correct whom the club is attracting. The smokers area makes the whole bottom level stink and playing a game of pool is ruled out by the stench of the filthy toilets and the cigarette stench. The drinks are somewhat overpriced also. With the amount of drunk women, I would suggest dedicating a bar to fresh juice cocktails advisable as they are gentler on the stomach and prevent vomiting with the reduction of fake sugar and colouring from the soft drink mixes they are readily drinking. Cocktails can also be enjoyed for longer and charged at a more substantial price.
The music is also not all that crash hot. The downstairs bands are acceptable but the Dj's upstairs are nothing short of undeveloped and it's a crime that people are required to pay not only to enter the front door, but a second fee to get upstairs without a good DJ or anything all that special happening.
I think this club really takes advantage of the fact there really aren't that many places to go. It would be nice to see this place class it up a little.
Great little spot. It's upstairs with views overlooking beautiful Mooloolaba Beach. Food can be very hit and miss and unless you get the specials, can be pricey for the quality. Staff are pretty friendly and the cocktails (depending on bar staff) can be reasonable.
The Pub Mooloolaba get's pretty rowdy on weeknights, The entertainment isn't all that great but people still swarm here (there aren't too many places to go). Their cocktails aren't the best. Mostly overly sugary mixes which will make you sick. I'd recommend they look into having fresh juice cocktails as it will prevent the amount of silly drunk girls puking in the bathroom after a couple of drinks. The prices are standard, food is standard although prices can be a little too expensive for quality unless you can get a special.
Juices here are great. A really nice range. Staff are friendly and willing to help you through the menu and food is satisfactory with some vegetarian options. A nice little spot by the beach too.
Approximate cost: $12
Mitzis has been around for years. They have a buffet going nightly which is extraudinary value for money. The quality of the food is better than expected for the price (obviously not star quality) but very good. The staff and owners are absolutely lovely.
Approximate cost: $10-15
The setting as the previous viewer disclosed, is ideal. Lovely views of the beach with a fresh, comfortable and funky atmosphere.
I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything was a touch bland and not of equal quality to price. The drinks here were quite reasonable though. I paid $11 for a recorderlig whereas I pay $13-15 in Melbourne. This is probably one of te reasons people pack in like sardines come friday/saturday nights.
This was one of my favourite places to go for quite some time. Originally lured here by the discount of the entertainment booklet, it continued to please and became a regular go to place. I tried just about everything onthe menu all of which was pleasing. They have a few stand out meals. There is a dish where they pierce steak on a stand up contraption where the sauce freely drizzles down. This would be a favourite.
Five stars all round. Food was great, cocktails stunning, dessert delicious and serice was on point. Not to mention we enjoyed the atmosphere. Not to full on with the main drag but just enough to light a spark. Great night
I've never ever actually been satisfied here. You must become a member to enter (more expensive than RSL clubs), food is always either over or undercooked or just not of quality. Enterainment can be good. Serice is average (some perople great others horrible). The only thing that seems to be great everytime is their buffet breakfast. The rest, not so good. On a good note, the location is great and the view is magnificent. The food needs improvement (apart from the buffet) and the prices and serving sizes need reviewing as they are far too expensive. The staff's attitude needs some uniformity (preferably on the happier front).
These apartments are just about self contained. It is in one of the best spots in Mooloolaba. Next door to supermarkets and walking distance to beach, nightlife (not that there is much) and restaurants. It has a sauna, spa and a reasonably sized pool.
Approximate cost: $200
