We hired cutlery, crockery, and glasses from Allwell Hire for our wedding. They were the cheapest I found in the Brisbane / Gold Coast / Tweed area and they provided great services. I had quite a few questions which were quickly answered via email. Changes to our order were also no trouble and they worked around us regarding pick up and drop off times (and even let our friends help out and do the pick up and drop of for us).
We hired a big white marquee and chairs from Tweed Party Hire for our wedding. They were cheaper than other quotes we received and provided great timely service. They set up the marquee for us the day before the wedding and pulled it down the day after the wedding. With the silk lining it was perfect for our garden wedding.
The ladies here provided the flowers for our wedding - brides bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet, button hole, corsages and bunches of flowers for centrepieces. Compared to florists that only do weddings, this shop was a lot cheaper. They were easy to deal with. They met with me twice to run through exactly what I wanted. We had an early morning wedding and it was no trouble for them to come in at 6am and open the shop so that we could pick up our lovely flowers.
Although there were slightly cheaper wedding videographers, the quality of Fisheye's work lead to our decision to go with them. We were not disappointed. The early start was no problem, music requests and special requests were no problem at all. They promptly got the DVDs to us after our wedding and we were so happy that we could have our special day on DVD to remember forever.
I saw Gabby's photos in a wedding magazine and I thought she would be very expensive because they were my favourite shots. To my pleasant surprise Gabby was very affordable, very friendly, young and fun and provided great service. I got a basic package of about 300 photos, all the negatives on a disc and copies of the photos - all for under $1000! For an extra charge Gabby also offered to help put together an album.
Dylan has been doing the electrical work while we have been preparing for and doing renovations. He has always been easy to contact, easy to communicate with and does a great job. It is never a hassle for him to drop over and do a quick job that needs doing.
We received a quote to build new internal stairs. Although the price was on par with other stair companies, the service was so bad that we decided to go elsewhere. This company made you feel like you were hassling them just to get a quote or ask a question. I had to follow up with them about half a dozen times over about a month just to get the quote back after emailing them our plans (as they said they wouldn't come out to the house to look at the job). Not impressed at all.
We hired temporary fencing for around the perimeter of our block while doing renovations. We also hired pool fencing and a port a loo from rent a fence. The service was GREAT - very easy to deal with via email or phone. The price was also the best of the several quotes I got.
We would consider using Ace again however we would be more careful to make sure what is quoted really includes everything so that we are not surprised with a bigger bill at the end. We were happy with the end result however we did have a few hiccups along the way with pricing, the house not being raised quite high enough initially and a few communication breakdowns. He was cheaper than a lot of other house raisers though and as I said the job was done well in the end so we have a happy ending.
If you want someone that really cares and will help make your wedding ceremony really special then Karen is for you. She does a lot more than just run through your vows on the day. She is so professional and pretty young so she looks good in your wedding photos as well. Great service from day one through to the follow up after our wedding.
