HIDDEN GEM! went with two other friends, ordered the honey chicken, empire chicken & sweet and sour chicken (yeah we love chicken) and it started with a nice surprise, which was receiving free shrimp crackers (kept us busy during the wait which wasn't a big deal anyway, the food came really quickly) we were all full after the meal (we didn't even get to finish everything) and ended up spending around 50 bucks, which is a bit pricey for a stock standard asian restaurant, but nonetheless i'd definitely return
warning: finding a park near loi loi is practically mission impossible!
went for breakfast, was craving chicken pizza
the actual restaurant's quite nice, great tasteful décor, bit quaint and definitely has that italian 'vibe'
pizza was pretty cheap, around 20 bucks for a large
the only downside was the wait for the meal, waited for around 15 minutes at least (which would have been forgiveable if the place was packed and busy, but we rocked up saturday morning and there were only two other tables that were occupied)
but overall, would probably return (the pizza was really fresh, and the staff were quite lovely!)
bit overpriced but the service was absolutely fantastic - water was always topped up (since the jugs were so tiny anyway)
food was decent, had the salmon omelette, not too bad
i like how it's a bit quaint, great for breakfast i find
great service the staff were nice and prompt, the chocolate is heavenly - i'm sure to call this my happy place now
prices are a bit high, but i would still visit moreso just to spoil myself really
most of my friends talk about this place but i didn't see what the huge deal was, i think it's because it's a really authentic malaysian restaurant
have never had malaysian food before i did like the crunchy crackers and the flavours were really strong (in a good way) i didn't like the fact that there were random bits and bobs in the rice
decent priced, different & more efficient type of service, overall not bad, but wouldn't be a regular
was a venue for a uni party, not bad liked the fact that they had two levels so you could move around if you were sick of the songs
the only thing i didn't like was the location (it's a bit far off from the city, walking distance wise) and the cloak room was basically impossible to get to (and especially when you're grabbing your stuff)
great go to place after a big night out or when you're hungry and you feel like dumplings because this place definitely fills you up and it's pretty decently priced
bumped into this while walking around degraves st, bought a salami and cheese one for $6 which didn't have a lot of filling given the amount of empty space inside (probably half was covered with the actual filling?) but it was nice and warm and tasty, and the salami was spicy just the way i like it
went here for a conference, so booked one of the rooms, the collins room which was very nice and opulent & light and airy
staff were friendly and the place was easy to get to (the entrance out front southern cross doesn't work, which was a bit confusing)
not a bad place to go to if you're looking for something new wednesday nights, pretty close to melbourne uni so very student friendly, they've got the $15 parmas which is always good (most of their deals are $15 so every now and then it changes too)
