Great variety of Asian beauty and skincare but they're quite expensive and marked up compared to ordering them online. Some staff / sales people can't really speak English and the packaging for most products are in Japanese or Korean or Chinese so it's probably not the best place for non-Asian people to buy Asian cosmetics. If your aren't asian and want the convenience of purchasing in real life then i suggest researching online and take a photo with you to the store. It's just safer.
Smallish store. It had a good atmosphere and music. I ordered a small Chai Latte and it was $4 which is pricey but typical of the area. I saw they had all day breakfast and meals for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly but not particularly interested which I like.

It is so close to university (UNSW) and so much cheaper ($9) so it's great for students to hang out. It has the latest blockbusters for the same cheap prices.
It's just great. You can eat at Randwick beforehand and catch a flick with your date/friends.
I can see how communication could be a problem but I think I got the senior stylist / manager because her English was great. I guess it just depends on who you get?
I just walked in and she was free and we discussed hairstyles and she was quick, efficient, knowledgable and competent.
I honestly wasn't expecting much due to the reviews I've read but the stylist I got was great and funny joking about having white hairs. I was done in like 30 minutes and it was a lot cheaper than it would be elsewhere. I don't remember exactly but i think it was 35 including a hair wash.
Cute and tasty. The store is also small and quaint with very much a home made feel. The only weirdly disconnected thing about the store is the stone faced staff. They're just very... Neutral faced all the time.
But the cakes are good.
Great range and atmosphere. It's well lit, nicely aired and organised. The staff are helpful and not hostile or sleazy towards women as many other stores I've been to. Convenient location too.
I love their friendly warm staff. They're very accommodating. I once called during a busy holiday period (Valentines or mother's day I think) and they managed to fit me in.
Place is clean and pretty. Prices are great for the area (not cheap but cheaper than some places in the area) and they're attentive and competent.

Very bad for vegetarians esp. Ethical ones
Very costly for what someone can realistically eat in meat
Hostess was rude though the serving staff with food were super nice

Average pub type food. It was super noisy and super busy for an early dinner time. It is the type of place for a pit stop to refuel rather than savouring a meal or catching up with friends. Probably, a good place to eat at before a train ride to the city on weekends but i don't recomend it for a date or family dinner.
Favourite pizza place of all time. The have a high standard of pizza - they don't skimp and you can taste it.
I'd order the pizza from this place - their pasta can get be a little too oily but that's my only criticism.
Once maybe two years ago, I was waiting to order but the cashier guy didn't see me and he got berated by his boss for it. I felt a little bad since he clearly didn't see me / i was too shy to loudly clear my throat or something but I can tell the boss/managers valued their restaurant standards.
Their gelato and cheesecake is also good.
